On your way up to see the Arctic icebergs arriving in Newfoundland next spring, treat yourself to a weekend of lobster and single malts on “The Rock" in an authentic fishing outport.

In Rose Blanche, where the road goes no further, you will taste the finest of what the sea and international distilleries have to offer.You will experience the culture of lobster, from travelling by boat with a fisherman to an abandoned fishing outport to discuss the lobster livelihood past and present, to participating in the preparation and gourmet cooking of lobster with a Cordon Bleu chef.

The consumption of these delicacies will be accompanied by eight superior single malt whiskey tastings throughout the weekend and discussion of their merits with a whisky expert. Other unforgettable activities will include gentle hikes along traditional paths that offer views of the rugged coastal barrens, white granite cliffs and colourful Newfoundland homes.

All this is set against the backdrop of comfortable accommodations at the RoseSea Guest House, a gracious outport home situated right above a working harbour.

Cost : $1,150 per person, all inclusive, based on double occupancy. Single occupancy rate may be available on selected weekends.
